About Us
Why We Run:

This race was started in honor of Colby Young, a 15 year old Charlotte Christian School student who passed away in the fall of 2016 after fighting a two year battle with brain cancer. Colby's favorite thing to say was "God is able." His favorite quotes were the words of Stuart Scott, "You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and the manner in which you live" and "Every day, I fight."
This race commemorates his fight and raises awareness for other children who are going through the same battle.

Proceeds of this race will go to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
The Super Colby 5K is made possible by a student-led team from Charlotte Christian School and funded in part through the school's Knight Tank Program, an annual competition where students compete for funding to implement new and innovative programs. Charlotte Christian School is excited to support the year's Knight Tank student winners and their desire to honor Colby through the Super Colby 5K benefitting the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
